Number of lanes

Choose an extruder type:

APEX: The default for V1.1, with 250/200 load speeds. Uses a hybrid of LDO Orbiter gears and a BMG geartrain. Set and forget tension, no tuning.
SMOL: From BT 1.0. Uses BMG gears at slower speeds. Some builders have found it difficult to build and tension correctly.
SMOL V2: Uses the HGX Lite V2.0 Gearset and is considered the quietest choice for BoxTurtle. 250/200 load speeds. Set and forget tension, no tuning.

Extruder type

Choose a hub or passthrough:

Combination Buffer: Integrates the necessary buffer hardware into the hub.
Load-Only Hub: The hub only has the load sensor. You will need to choose a separate buffer to build and install downstream for your BoxTurtle.
Passthrough: No combining path. Each lane feeds its own PTFE line. Use this for remote hubs or tool changers.

Hub configuration

Status Indicators:

BarfTurtle LED PCBs are the default. Status indicators in the front skirt use BarfTurtle only. Spooler indicators are not included by default. Both systems can be used together.
